tongue in chic finally had its official launch two days ago. it feels like the site’s been around forever but in truth it’s only a few months old. i talked about this site briefly a while back when it was still in beta stage. after a few tweaks and lots of experimentations, we now have a fully operational site… consider it a one-stop shop for all things fashion within this region. and my favourite new feature? the gallery for some style stalking.
since we’re on the subject of the gallery, look what turned up in one of the albums…

funny story really, the photographer jeen approached me asking if she could take my photo for tongue in chic. and that’s how we met! you’d think we’d know all the contributors by now but the thing is, most of us have never even seen/ spoken to each other before. most communication came through emails or blog stalking. anyway, her picture sure turned out a lot better than the ones i took before leaving home.

mng sheer floral blouse, over worn calvin klein puff skirt, various bangles from india, topshop socks & stuart weitzman lace-up “booties”
speaking of blog stalking, most of us were able to come out of creepy stalker mode and actually meet these other bloggers. there was crazy ellie who also talked about the launch on her blog. then there was yc who never stopped talking about shopping and all things diy. she even sent me this link to ban.do the next day (just a few days after reading about it on tinland – it’s a SIGN!). anyway yc will be the death of me i swear. of course, there was tongue in chic managing editor joyce being the social butterfly so she was keeping busy in general. interaction with her was kept to a minimum – i DID hand her her drink at some point.
anyway, do check out tongue in chic. it may take another three to four weeks till we’ve ironed out all kinks (ok so i lied before about it being fully operational) but most of the features are pretty much there already and the blog’s of course updated every weekday. enjoy!
ps: those shoes REALLY hurt like hell.

The skirt is awesome!! Great find. Anyhoooo, wow you converted to WordPress huh? I have one reason to not convert to WordPress. The fact that I can’t put my pic in the “profile” and “comment” section. Vanity overrules common sense.
Anyways I changed the links already. All hail WordPress!

Aaah, I have the same MNG top! It’s many many seasons ago right!
Recently I am digging out my old clothes to wear too, it’s quite fun to see how you can spruce it up!
